In one of my previous posts, i talked about the
part 1 and today i will be exposing more of opera's secret.
The first secret i will be sharing is
the solution to
Downloading Failed: Sometimes when downloading a file with opera, (especially large files) it gets to a point when it says "
downloading failed" right?(which means you're going to start all over) Well, i am glad to let you know that you can continue from where the downloading failed. What you should do is this.
Press the middle key twice to restart, then press the left soft key twice also.
Note: This trick has only been tested on Nokia N72 & N70. You can
drop ur comment if it works for your phone.
How To Download With Javascript:
Operamini as we all know to some extent does not support "
javascript". Have you ever wanted to download a file before from sites like
sharemobile? then you must have come across the case whereby you are told to wait for some seconds.
That is
javascript , and if you observe, the number does not count down. So to make it count down, type the following in the address bar "
javascript:startdownload() " without the quotation mark and ok it. Do this for as many times until the download link appears
P.S: you can bookmark the code for easy access.
Javascript Confirmation: This problem does not occur in 4.2, it only occurs in version 5 (Opera 5.1,5.2 e.t.c). This happens when you delete something ( or other things that seeks confirmation ) you are asked a question with two options, YES or NO. Since the confirmation is a javascript confirmation, you will not see the YES or NO option, but you will see the "javascript confir..." in the title bar. To confirm type dlgbnt:1 or dlgbnt:2 for NO.
